Business Card Printing Cost in India (2025 Price Guide)

How business card printing is priced in India

Business card pricing in India depends on four factors: quantity, paper stock, finish, and print method (digital vs offset). Here is what you can expect to pay in 2025.

Standard price ranges

QuantityStandard (90 GSM)Premium (300 GSM)With UV/Lamination
100 cards₹150–₹250₹300–₹450₹400–₹600
250 cards₹200–₹350₹400–₹600₹550–₹800
500 cards₹300–₹500₹600–₹900₹800–₹1,200
1,000 cards₹450–₹700₹900–₹1,400₹1,200–₹1,800

Prices are indicative averages. Actual quotes depend on your city, the shop, and current paper costs.

What affects the price most

Paper GSM

GSM (grams per square metre) determines thickness and feel. Standard business cards use 250–300 GSM art card. Anything below 200 GSM feels flimsy and reflects poorly on your brand. Premium cards go up to 400 GSM with a matte lamination finish.

Finish type

  • Matte lamination — professional, fingerprint-resistant. Adds ₹1–₹2 per card on small runs
  • Gloss lamination — vibrant colours, slightly cheaper than matte
  • Soft touch lamination — premium velvety feel, higher cost
  • Spot UV — gloss highlights on specific areas, impressive but adds 30–50% to cost
  • Foil stamping — gold/silver metallic effect, typically ₹500–₹1,500 extra for setup

Print method

For quantities below 500, digital printing is cost-effective and faster. For 1,000+ cards, offset printing produces better colour consistency and lower per-card costs. Most small print shops only do digital — for offset quality at scale, check that the shop has an offset press.

Double-sided printing

Double-sided (duplex) cards typically add 30–50% to the cost. If you are on a tight budget, a well-designed single-sided card is better than a crowded double-sided one.

How to get the best price

  • Order in quantities of 500 or 1,000 — per-card cost drops significantly at these thresholds
  • Use a standard 90mm × 54mm size — custom sizes add die-cutting costs
  • Provide print-ready artwork in CMYK at 300 DPI with 3mm bleed — shops charge ₹200–₹500 extra for design work
  • Get quotes from at least three local shops — pricing varies by 40% or more
